Time to Train
Lately I’ve been missing classes at the school because of work. I’m lucky if I can get in there even once a week. I see this as a challenge as to whether I can continue training without the direction of my instructors, or the encouragement of my classmates.
This morning I got up and practiced my stance form, then did 100 reps of each of the Xing Yi five element fists (not that easy); and then finished of with practicing my San Ti Shi stance. This was by no means a “warrior level” training session, but the victory was in doing something, rather than how much I did.
I will also say that starting my day with kung fu changes the way I carry myself and interact with people throughout the day. The physical and mental strength gained from a practice I was in no ways obligated to do, carries over into daily life.
Keep training!
